Here's a video diary from the studio you've probably seen elsewhere before but I'll post it here anyway.







This week me and Joel are working out and fine-tuning the guitar and vocal parts for the upcoming studio sessions. We are working on the seven tracks still not recorded and with the five recorded prior to that we'll end up with 12 tracks for the album. Here's some of the working titles:

Tomorrow Is Gone

Let's hope we get it all done, shall we. :)

An great album is taking shape

Hey all of you,

Finally summer's coming and the creativity is flowing. 

Two more days in the studio are over and all drum and bass tracks are now recorded. We'll continue with the remaining guitars and vocals later this spring. The album is scheduled to be released in autumn 2009.

New name and review

Hey everyone.

As you might have noticed the band you once knew as The Bad Habit is no longer. This is due to legal reasons beyond our control and not a choice of our own. After almost ten years with a band name it's not easy to make changes but we hope that both we, our selves, and you will adapt to the new name.

The good part is that we came up with an even better name - The Cajunga! The new name will carry on the spirit and good music of the old one and no personal changes have been made in the orchestra.

So, the band is still intact and recordings for the debut will continue next weekend with the recording of 6 more basic tracks.

For all of you living in Turku, we'll play at Kåren on the 30'th of April (Kårens Wappmiddag). Hope to see you all there.

More studio work done

Hey friends and fans!

We've just finished three more days in the studio, cutting vocals and some guitars. Oskar sure did a great job screaming into the microphone. Enjoy some pics from the session!

New songs come into life every day, and soon we'll record the remaining songs in order to complete the album. It'll be a great one!

Rehearsals and upcoming show.

Yo!

Yesterday we once again had the usual Monday rehearsals. We're currently concentrating on finding new songs that will fit the album and at the moment there are a few coming along. Of course there is still a long way to go before they're all finished but I think we're on the right path.

In the upcoming weeks we'll also hopefully be able to start cutting vocals and some overdub guitars for the songs already recorded. This project is also one that is rather time consuming and will probably keep us busy until the Christmas holidays.

To keep us even more busy we're going to play our first ever all unplugged gig at Pub Kåren on the 27'th of November. The Pub Nights are monthly events hosted by the Rock Association at Åbo Akademi University and we're thrilled to play a quieter set for a change.

It will be a special night in deed as we're rearranging our originals to fit the acoustic instrumentation. The two sets of the evening will future reworked original songs and covers by e.g. The Band and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Could you hit those drums a little harder?

Howdy everyone!

Greetings from Studio NoiseCamp in Turku. We recorded drums and almost all the bass guitar for five tracks yesterday. Today we're polishing the bass tracks and hopefully doing some guitars. Mr. Grundvall did some great work beating his drums yesterday and has now done his big part.

The goal for this week is to hopefully get the five songs all done. Then we'll come back and do four or five more songs later on. Hopefully we'll have the whole done and released late spring 2009. At least that is our plan. :)

We'll post pictures from the studio later on this week once we get them on to the computer.

Hi everyone and welcome to our corner of the World Wild Web.

The purpose of this blog is keeping the world up-to-date on our current situation by posting more unofficial news, photos, videos etc. concerning the band. The members of the band will be posting all content.

As for our current situation we're of to record five songs for our upcoming debut album. The recordings will start tomorrow. More info (and probably pictures if we can find a decent camera) about that in the near future.
